I can't believe that Zac's first Triathlon is already over with! It was this morning at 7:30 am, which meant that we had to be up before 5:00 am so we were there in time to register. And since Utah weather has been so unpredictable lately, it was around 55 degrees and raining!
This picture was of Zac watching the first "heat" of swimmers. 
Zac did really well at swimming! Each lane had three people swimming in it so they had to swim in circles. Luckily enough Zac was the first to swim in his heat so that he didn't have to worry about swimming around anyone until the very end.
I posted this picture so you could see what a pain it was for the swimmers having 3 people in a lane. This was when Zac completely passed them by a lap.
Here was the transition stage from swimming to biking. 
Lucky for me, Mike and Heidi came down to cheer on Zac and they brought two umbrellas. Zac started and finished at this same place.

It was so cold outside that Zac had a hard time catching his breath.

Afterwards at the award ceremony Zac received 1st place in his age division and 2nd place overall!!! That ribbon is going up in the house!
